The gendarmes detained two commercial vehicles in San Juan that were carrying more than 40 smuggled tires


While advancing in San Juan, members of the National Gendarmerie seized more than 40 tires that were being transported in two utility vehicles (GNA)

And in a series of separate roadside preventive operations conducted earlier this month, the GNA also intercepted two illegal shipments of cellphones, bringing the total value of the seized goods to 93,203,504.21 pesos.

Once the discovery was made, agents questioned the driver and his passenger about the origin of the mobile devices. In this way, they verified that they did not have the appropriate customs procedures, so they were detained for violating Law No. 22,415 “Customs Code”.
